Copper Gutters
Copper rain gutters provide very distinctive, elegant appearance. Over time, untreated copper gutters will develop a patina, slowly altering from gray to greenish. However, with proper care and routine treatment this issue can be managed. Copper guttering is recommended for those who reside near the ocean, as the salty atmosphere can cause rust to metals like Aluminum or Galvanized. Evidence of copper guttering date back thousands of years, and copper continues to be a very popular material for gutters.
Gutter Guards
Gutter guards prevent debris and leaves from accumulating in your gutters and clogging up the system. Even with gutter guards, some debris may inevitably collect on the top of the gutter guards. However, gutter guards are exponentially easier to clean than digging into clogged gutters to remove handfuls of twigs, seeds, leaves, and debris. As is the case with nearly everything else on your home, even gutter guards may need occasional maintenance.

Underground Drainage System
It is vital to divert rainwater away from your residence’s foundation resulting in the protection of your property’s structural integrity. An underground drainage system enables homeowners to simultaneously protect their residence from moisture and significantly improve the aesthetic of their landscape by negating the use of unsightly concrete diverters or black corrugated piping. Installation of this system requires carefully trenching of about 1 1/2 feet underground beneath a downspout, and about 2 to 3 feet into the lawn area. A non-porous corrugated black drainage piping would be securely attached to the bottom of the downspout. At approximately 2 to 3 feet into your lawn, the other end of the piping would be affixed to a catch basin and a grate. Catch basins and grates remove water away from the foundation and other low areas in planter beds. The top of the catch basin flushes at ground level and opens during heavy rainfalls to allow rainwater to disperse evenly into your lawn to avoid water pooling into planting beds as well as erosion over time.
